Oh Hai! My name is Jacob, but you can just call me Jake. Currently I am in grad school studying computer science, and trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Chicago is the city I will always call home, and it will take a lot to get me to leave, however I would love to make a temporary home in a number of European cities, Tokyo, Seattle and New York. I am a Chicago mutt, father was raised in the City, mother in the suburbs; I was raised in the Suburbs until I was twenty four, and have lived in Chicago proper since.
I have recently completed my Bachelors of Science in computer
science and have started working toward a Masters
of Science in computer science concentrating in Web
Technologies. I am overtly eccentric about seamless integration
using interapplication communication, and passionate about
the details that separate applications that are
'good enough' and great applications.
When not rubbing my fingers to stumps on the keyboard, I have a variety of interests depending on the season. In the humid months I can be found at the beach, enjoying beverages on a restaurant patio or causing a ruckus. During the mild months I tend to enjoy walks, bike rides, wool sweaters and chatting it up in cafes. During the deep freeze I hibernate. And it is always happy hour in Chicago. I am always up for a good game of Tetris or Gin Rummy, and would love to learn Mahjong.

- My birthday is April 10th and I am 27.
- My heritage is a stew of Irish, English, German, Austrian, Cherokee; I also have a touch of Mayan and Spanish background through my stepdad.
- I have 63 relatives in my immediate extended family. My 'nuclear' family involves a mom, two dads, an evil step mother, a full sister (+3 yrs), two half sisters (-16/-18 yrs), a brother in-law, two nephews and a niece. The immediate extended family includes four grandmas, three grandpas, sixteen cousins, ten aunts, twelve uncles, a step-brother, a step-sister, two step-cousins, and three step-nephews.
- In one way or another I am related to William the Conqueror, George Washington, Grover Cleveland, Ann Hutchensen, and Elias Howe. I have many ancestors that were vital in the defeat of the British in the American Revolution, with two towns in the State of New York named after some of them.
- I despise the Windows operating system.
- I study at Loyola University Chicago.
- Jacqui & I went to prom together, and I had blue hair.
- To date I have called 18 places home.
- I make a mean beef roast.
- I continue the tradition of my mothers Yellow Sloppy Joes, step-grandmothers Flautas and great-grandmothers Cranberry Ice.
- I have never been good about putting my laundry away or making my bed.
